This pre-Hispanic route is one of the many that linked the different ecological floors, the high areas, with the warm ones, traveled, since time immemorial, by people who exchanged tropical products with products from the highlands, where the great local cultures were settled. They also constituted routes of immigration and conquest.
We leave the city of La Paz at 09:00. We will drive for about two hours to three hours until we reach the base of the mountain (Oqecucho4,240m.) a canyon that connects the mountainous area with the valley pass at 4,635m. Afterwards we will begin a very beautiful descent approaching the Takesi community 3.830m. where we will spend the first night.
After a good breakfast we prepare our equipment to continue with our walk, which will last 4 to 5 hours until we reach the Rosales ranch 2,770m. A very beautiful camping area, here we will spend the night.
Today we begin our final walk After a good breakfast, the trail is very well marked, We will pass by rivers and waterfalls on the way We will be able appreciate the beautiful vegetation and a pleasant climate we will walk for four hours, we will arrive at noon near the Chojlla mine 2,085 m. where we will have lunch our transport will be ready to take us back to the city of La Paz..
