This mountain in particular does not have a completely defined route, rather it has several routes which must be analyzed from the high camp, certainly this mountain tests the spirit and wisdom of the mountaineers.
This mountain is remote, isolated, mystical, with very little climbing during the season, an option for those mountaineers who want to experience some pure mountaineering.
We depart from the Hotel and after driving for 2 hours on the route to Copacabana, we detour towards the town of Peñas, and from there we drive for another hour until we reach the Kellhuani valley, where we will begin a 3-hour walk, assisted by our team. local mule drivers, we will reach the Jancko khota lagoon 4,700m. which we will use as a base camp./night in tents.
After a good breakfast, we will begin our walk to the high camp. Today we are accompanied by our local porters. The walk lasts 2 to 3 hours until we reach the edge of the glacier at 5,100m. where we will put our high camp/night in tents
We begin the day early at 02:00. The traverse over the glacier includes some 50-degree steps and crossing crevasses. We will navigate through the mountain until we reach the summit, usually in 5 to 6 hours, and after enjoying the beautiful views we will return to our high camp to spend the last night there, before returning to La Paz
After breakfast we will pack our equipment and begin a long walk back through the Kellhuani valley until we reach our transportation that will be ready to take us back to the city of La Paz.
